On 9th June 2026, at Baliram Lahkar Hall, Tezpur, Shankara Cancer and Research Institute (SCRI), in collaboration with Axomiya Club, Tezpur, organized “Swastha Sajagata”, a cancer awareness programme aimed at promoting awareness on cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
The session was delivered by Dr Venkat Pradeep Babu Koyyala, a nationally eminent medical oncologist and CEO & Director, SCRI, who highlighted key aspects of cancer awareness, including risk factors, genetic testing, screening, and advances in cancer treatment. The programme was graced by Dr Pavani Medisetty, Director, SCRI, along with Mr Devajit Kalita and Dr Priyakhi Borkotoky, who shared insights on the comprehensive cancer care services, patient support systems, and facilities available at SCRI.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the esteemed members of Axomiya Club and served as an important platform for spreading awareness about cancer and the importance of timely intervention.
